NYU Associate Teacher Clay Shirky talked about the future of Internet access, the growth of “smartphone” use, and the use of social media in political revolutions. Mr. Shirky currently teaches at both the Carter Journalism Institute and the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He also writes frequently about the Internet. This program was recorded at the “State of the Net” conference sponsored by the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee.
