Speaking at the Americans for Prosperity (AFP) summit, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell (R) discussed the conservative policies that helped his state have a surplus during tough economic times. AFP, an organization advocating limited government and free markets, is allied with the national Tea Party movement, and hosts the annual summit to train and mobilize local community activists to counter Democratic Party efforts ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.
