Aleczander Reese talked about his his StudentCam documentary, What You See and What You Don't : A Neighborhood in Peril, one of the middle school section's third prize-winning videos. He is an eighth grader at High Desert Middle School in Bend, Oregon. C-SPAN's StudentCam is an annual national video documentary competition that encourages students to think seriously about issues that affect our communities and our nation. Students are asked to create a short (5-8 minute) video documentary on one of the country's greatest strengths or a challenge the country is facing.
