Sentencing Project Advocacy DirectorKara Gotsch talked about the Supreme Court ruling requiring California to reduce its prison population, and the potential national implications of the  decision. She responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Some of the topics brought up in viewer calls included the number of illegal aliens in California prisons, and the number of people jailed for more minor offenses such as failure to pay child support. Ms. Gotsch also spoke with a member of a union that represents federal prison workers nationwide who shared his experiences working with inmates in the federal prison system.
