White House Drug Control Policy Director Gil Kerlikowske talked about the Obama administration's new plan to combat prescription drug abuse, as well as efforts by the U.S., Mexico, and other nations to curb the flow of drugs and violence by drug gangs. The administration reported that prescription drug abuse is the fastest-growing drug problem in the U.S., exceeding U.S. overdose problems with heroin and crack in the ‘70s and ‘80s.
