Separated into 9 main areas, each topic is supplemented with related video clips, discussion questions, handouts, and culminating activities to reinforce students' learning. Use these resources in conjunction with C-SPAN's televised coverage to help your students understand the entire process of electing the next President

On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina crossed the Gulf Coast becoming the costliest natural disaster, as well as one of the five deadliest hurricanes, in the history of the United States. View a series of 9 video clips to hear accounts of events from some of the key figures involved in planning and executing relief efforts, as well as the region’s recovery and rebuilding efforts since the storm.

The September 11, 2001 terrorst attacks were a series of attacks against the United States, coordinated by the terrorist group, al-Qaeda. The attacks consisted of four suicide attacks using commercial airplanes to target symbolic U.S. landmarks. View a series of video clips, including oral history and testimonial videos, to learn more about the day and the aftermath of the attacks.
