C-SPAN is pleased to debut our updated Classroom Deliberations website.

The site features a new look with a more functional layout, and now offers scalability for those of you using mobile devices to access content. C-SPAN Classroom Deliberations is designed to engage students in discussions about current issues being debated in the United States. Each issue includes a set of C-SPAN primary source video clips and newspaper articles that concisely present the leading positions on the topic. Teachers will find handouts, current events, lesson plans, and deliberation strategies that make it easy to engage students in the issues.

C-SPAN's 2015 Summer Educators' Conferences

Each summer, C-SPAN hosts two teacher conferences in Washington, DC. The day-and-a-half long conferences are held during the month of July at C-SPAN’s headquarters in the heart of Washington, DC. Airfare to and from Washington, two nights’ hotel stay, and meals during the conference are all provided by C-SPAN.

At this conference middle and high school educators (grades 6-12) gather from around the country to learn more about C-SPAN and how to effectively integrate C-SPAN’s online resources into their classrooms.

Applications must be received by Friday, April 3, 2015
